Welcome to the Integrative Health Lab!
The Integrative Health Lab at Sam Houston State University broadly focuses on exploring the connection between mind and body. We aim to gain a better understanding of how mental health, and interventions aimed at improving mental health, impact overall quality of life, including physical health. Additionally, we are interested in examining ways in which mental health care can be integrated into routine medical care, in order to provide patients with integrated, whole-person care. The Integrative Health Lab is directed by Dr. Chelsea Ratcliff, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology & Philosophy and faculty member in the Clinical Psychology Program at SHSU in Huntsville, Texas.
